The latest design break-through from Chilewich, Pressed Vinyl is a completely new category that opens the door to infinite possibilities. In our first foray away from more traditional woven patterns, Pressed Vinyl is created using a revolutionary interpretation of an outdated manufacturing process. The result is a product reminiscent of fine linen but with the benefit of easy care for everyday use.
Pressed Vinyl can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. Our introductory style – Dots – is both chic and playful, providing yet another modern alternative to tabletop dressing from Chilewich.

Sandy Chilewich - In her New York based design studio, Sandy Chilewich continues to discover ways to push textiles beyond their comfortable and sometimes monotonous context. Her woven vinyl, which has become her signature textile for tabletop, floormats and bags, is currently available in a wide selection of weaves and colors Sandy’s passion is finding underutilized, often overlooked manufacturing techniques, and from them produce fresh, modern textiles. Over the past 10 years, Sandy has added spun and tufted vinyls to her collections; for Fall 08 she will introduce her first molded vinyl. Sandy prides herself on original design and strives to bring a fresh perspective to the table. Chilewich products are designed in New York, made primarily in the USA and sold around the world.
